lost shortcuts

The left side of Outlook 98 used to have a gray section
with largish icons for all folders and the word "shortcuts"
at the bottom and "mail" at the top. This has disappeared
and all there is now is a white area with tiny folder
icons. How can I get it back to the way it was?
"Restore" doesn't work.
 
View->Outlook Bar.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, WS asked:
