lost password

my son had some friends over and as a joke they got on his computer and
changed his password to enter windows. They can't seem to remember what they
changed it to, so now he is stuck and can't get to the main screen....how can
we access windows?

Reboot the PC into safe mode when it comes up choose the administrator
account , Probably have no password
Once logged in go to control panel user account select his account and
change the password
