Lost part of mail

For some reason I can not see deleted or sent items. Only view is inbox.
Just happened and dont know what changed

Go to View menu>Layout, and enable Folder list.
 
Make sure that for each folder the current view is "Show All Messages"
rather than "Hide Read Messages".
(View, Current View)
