lost "opening page" line

Recently, the line on the bottom of my screen, right above the Quick Launch toolbar, went away. It always said "opening page".......and then the web site that was being accessed. For some reason, it no longer appears when I am opening a new web page. It isn't really a toolbar so I can't get it back that way. Any suggestions?

Go to "View" and click on "Status Bar" to reopen it.
