Lost on-line monitor in task bar

Some time ago when i was haveing difficulty with dial-up, i was connecting
too slow so i would hang up and dial again multiple times and some where in
that process the dual monitor icons in the task bar disapperd that let me
know i am on line and active. Does any one know how to get it back ? i
have looked every where i can think on the system and can not find any info
to fix it.

Control Panel | Network Connections. Right-click on your dialup connection
and select Properties. Down toward the bottom you should see "Show icon in
notification area when connected". You need to have a check mark in the
box.

Jeezz i am blind , i never saw that. Still odd that it disappeard but it is
back now
