lost old files

my xp windows operating system crashed the other week and i reinstalled it
again.However, i have lost all the files saved on it before it crashed. Is
there any way of recovering the files? I have tried recovery points but
there are no recovery points linked to old installed version.

If you have had to reinstall your operating system from scratch is there any
way of retrieving the old files?

You could try this program.. it is free, but with any recovery program, 100%
success is not guaranteed.. the less you use the drive from which you want
to recover stuff, the better..
