Lost network drive mappings!!

I have a windows 2000 Japanese machine.

When I map network drives to several shares all is fine
but when I log out or reboot all mapped drives are lost!!
The user is logging into the a domain and has no hard
drive space issues or anything like that.

Any ideas?

What do you use to map them?

net use?

or the map drive button in the explorere toolbar? if so, click "reconnect a
logon"

Also check your network logon properties and see if you are on "quick
logon", if so, change it.
