Well unless you are going to sell the software, I would'nt worry - I bought
a retail Upgrade CD and it didn't HAVE a COA with it!

My problem is that I would like to do a complete re-
install, the old format c is due, with a fresh install of
XP.

Without my original COA, I wont be able too.

Is there anywhere on my computer I can find this code?

Ahh you mean the PRODUCT KEY. Was there not a yellow sticker on the jewel
case?

If not, download Aida32, and run it. That will tell you your product key.

AFAIK, even OEM versions should have a COA...

Well it pobably did, but not in the "sroll with big seal" type of
certificate. I probably threw it away with the packaging......

Well, what can I say but GREAT!

After spending lots of dosh to get XP Pro, then loosing
the silly little slip of paper that came with it, I was
going up the roof!

Thanks to the fastest responses I've seen on a forum
Gordon came up with good suggestions but most of all, big
thanks goes to Ramesh for supplying those web links. They
worked a treat.

Well, its engraved on the CD, on the tiolet wall, and I'm
having it tatooed on my chest so I dont loose it this
time.
