lost most recent IE favorites (bookmarks)

My IE favorites has been restored to ones that are at least over a year old.
I tried to restore my computer to a previous date when I knew that the
favorites were there but restoring returns an error message that it was
unable to restore to the date. Have tried numerous dates. Help!

I made the same mistake, IE7, and lost all of my favorites and most of my
program icons. When I tried several different restore dates, I always got the
same msg as wpsws.
HELP PLEASE
