lost microsoft office

Help please - we were trying to sort out microsoft excel
and for some reason all of our microsoft office
applications has disappeared from the start up bar. we are
now without word, excel and can only acess some documents
through note pad. It is not in the trash can. Desperately
need your help.
 
Open windows explorer and navigate to c:\program files\microsoft office and
see if the programs are still there.

if so, recreate shortcuts to point to them.
