Lost messages in Outlook 2003

I am suddenly losing messages when i transfer them say from my inbox to a sub
folder.
They appear to transfer OK, they dissapear from the original folder but
don't show up in the destination folder. I have checked all my other folders
but they have simply dissapeared.
Has anyone else had this problem? Are there any suggestions as to how to
beat it - and, if possible, find the missing files. I have checked the waste
bin.
I am running WinXP2 and Norton IS 2004 both are fully up to date.

Try using Advanced Find to look for one of the missing messages. If it's
actually in your message store, you'll see it and Advanced Find will tell
you where it is. You can also do the same with a Search folder.
