Lost Menus

When I open Access and create a new database, the menus do not show any
options e.g. when I click on the View menu, there aren't any options. I have
tried holding the left shift key down when starting the database as suggested
in other posts, but this is not working. Any ideas?

Since it is happening in new databases, it can't be startup code making
those changes. Have you tried resetting all the menus? Right-click on any
menu and choose Customize. In the wizard box, select a menu and then click
the reset button.
