Lost Menu Bar

For some reason I can no longer see the menu bar ie the one that shows File
and View etc. How can I restore it? The only way I can see the View menu is
by pressing alt v. Sorry to come up with such a dumb question?

Right-click by one of the Toolbars and see if you can check "Menu Bar" to
turn it back on.
