LOST MAIL Outlook 2000

I need some help from people with technical knowledge of Outlook 2000.

Here is the issue. My PC had to be reformated and Windows, MS Office, etc reloaded. I identified the directories I wanted backed up before the hard drive was reformatted. My Outlook 2002 Directory was one of them, but I didn't export the messages to a file using a comma delineated format before the backup was done....instead the directory was backed up with the inbox, address book, etc. keeping their original file extensions

There is no .pst file in this directory.

Filed extensions in this directory are: .nch; .msf; .mif; addbook.dat; Delete
Items.idx; Deleted Items.mbx; Drafts.idx; Drafts.mbx; filters.dat.

Question: Is there any way I can bring my emails back into my Outlook program now that it's been reloaded? Or, is there some other program/application that will let me view these

You refer to both OL2000 and OL2002 which one are you using?
OL stores mail, folders, contacts etc in a *.pst file, located by default in
C:\Documents & Settings\'UserName'\Local Settings\Microsoft\Outlook\
If you are in fact using OL as apposed to OE and failed to backup/copy yr
*.pst file you will have lost yr data
For OE see http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/
For OL see http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm#pst
