Lost links to pictures in Photo Gallery

I had all my pictures in photo gallery but they were saved in the root
directory. I went to clean them up and put in in a single folder but noticed
when I went back to edit my existing phtos they were all gone. I actually
wanted to add a photo, but since they were not there I was concerned about
overridding the existing saved files. Not sure if this makes sense, but if
anyone has any insight as to how to reconnect/link the photos that would be
great.

By the way, the photos are actually there, and on the website, but when I go
to edit them they are gone. It is clearly a function of me having moved them
to a new folder.

FP's photogallery's are about the only thing you cannot rename or mess with
once they are generated - except to add images (in theory you can but
sometimes you run into problems).

Take all your original gallery images and put them into a new folder...then
delete all the generated images and then regenerate the gallery. Once you
have done that do not rename the arbitrarily named folder (or move it
either) that FP creates.

And if you really get frustrated with FP's gallery, you should looke at
JAlbum..its free, customizable and easily incorporated into FP webs.
