lost licence

I bought a computer a few months back. When i went to reformat and reinstall
windows xp pro, i relized i was missing my licence for it. So now i have the
disc but no id for it. What is microsofts policy in recieving a new one if
any, and if thats not possible, where can i buy a replacement.

Erased the system yet?
Get the CD Key from the working PC using Belarc or Everest...

All you need is the CD and the CD Key.
 
You might also look on the back or underside of the case for the 25
character key. It is installed on most new computers by the manufacturer.
