Lost Java - Please help

I tried another browser "Slimbrowser". When I uninstalled
the program and returned to IE6.0, I was unable to use
sites that had Java - specifically Yahoo Games. The error
said that I did not have JAVA and required me to reinstall
Java. I went to a number of sites - including SUN - and
downloaded Java. Each time it did not work with IE 6.0

I've tried system restore and that does not give me Java.

How to I get IE 6.0 to allow me to use YAHOO GAMES? I've
tried Yahoo on other machines with IE 6.0 and it works
fine.

Failed to note that I've tried previous fixex noted
from "oops" in this newsgroup. Any other ideas?
