I have aproblem with my laptop, After aking loads of question on this fourm I
have got some really helpfull answers( if I were knew what people were
talking about)
I do realise I need by recovery cd.
I did not bring it with me on my travels so the question is.
With windows xp prof could I buy a recovery cd and would it work ? if so,
which would be the best ?or am I F***d?

The first thought that springs to mind is: buy a new disk and have them
install XP at the same time if you can.

Can't anyone post the restore CD to you? Recorded, insured delivery or
whatever?

Why don't you contact Symantec?

or just uninstall program since it is causing problem?

Helpful if you stay on same post!!!!!

thanks for the advice,
I live on my own so someone posting it is out of the question.
Dixonian69 , I am sorry for moving about, will stick to thisone from now
on.I contacted symantec yesterday via email but they still have not gotten
back to me. So I was hoping I could get help here
I can't uninstall it as I explained before the system does not get far
enough for me to do so
Any Ideas?

Thanks
Helen

See if you can startup in Safe Mode w/command prompt only.
If so, type: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Restore\rstrui.exe
This is System Restore. See if you can roll back to a previous date.

dixionian69 thanks you are a genius!
I am up and running
Thanks to everyone who replied to my posts too
