lost hard drive space

I just made 3 VHS home videos into DVDs. 2 using
sonicMyDVD and 1 using Pinnacle expressions. When
started I had 61 GB of hard drive space. Now I have only
41GB left. I thought I deleted all the temp files and the
video copied to the hard drive. Does someone know what
else I should be doing? I never had this problem
before when I made previous video DVDs.

do a search for all files on the drive bigger than 100mb or so, then sort by
size to see the biggest ones. maybe one of the tools left a temp file
laying around somewhere you haven't checked. also be sure you have emptied
the recycle bin, though that would be pretty big for something in there.
and when all else fails run scandisk and defrag.

Do you have Norton by chance? My Norton won't let me
delete something until I right click on the recycle bin
and click 'Empty Norton Protected Files' even after I
empty the recycle bin.
