Go into Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs, then click the Add/Remove
Windows Components in the left pane. With Accessories and Utilities
highlighted on the first screen, click the Details button. Single
left-click Games in the next screen to highlight it, then again click the
Details button. On the resulting screen you can add or remove check marks
from any of the listed games. OK your way back twice (two screens) then
click the Next button and finally Finish. Restart your system, and you
should then see the changes.

The two files should be residing in your System32 folder, so you can
right-click on a blank spot on your desktop, then select New/Shortcut and
then Browse to C:\WINDOWS\system32\winmine.exe (or
C:\WINDOWS\system32\sol.exe). Select Next, then name it what you want. You
can then place the icon anywhere on your desktop, Quick Launch bar, Games
fly-out, etc.
