Outlook Express (version 6.0.2800.1123) has lost my correspondence folder.
No amount of searching has located it for me. Anybody out there have a clue
as to how to retrieve it? My OS is Windows 2000 Pro.

Thanx in advance,

Jan Clauson

Hi Janice,

This forum is for Access Database software. You would be better served if
you asked the question in one of the Outlook forums.

As far as I know, each folder in Outlook Express is stored in a single file
with the folder name and .dbx extension. You might want to do a Search on
your local drive for that file and confirm that it exists. If it doesnt, you
might have lost it.

Do a search of your hard disk for *.dbx files?

If you haven't changed any default settings, look for *.dbx file in the
directory:

C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application Data\Identities\
Some GUID\ ...

If that doesn't find, search entire had-disk(s) for *.dbx files.
