Lost folder in Outlook

Guest

Hi,
I recently changed from outlook express to Microsoft Outlook; everything
seemed to be in order and now one of my folders has simply disappeared. It
has important emails in it that I had put there for safekeeping. Is there an
easy solution to finding it>

Thank you

Louise

have you checked that you havent accidently dragged the folder into another
folder ? , may sound simplistic but it does happen fairly often

if you know the name \ title of one or more of the emails do a advanced find
to see if it can find the missing data,, (right click on inbox or personnal
folder)

could it still be stored in your outlook express, when you "upgrade from
express to outlook" it dosnt actually over write express.. so you may be
lucky and find the doc's still in their

Hi again Rich,

The folder trasnferred from Express to OUtlook without any problem and I
have subsequently added emails to it. I have got the old Express file but it
won't have all the recent files I put into it. Express loses information when
it does a compress but you can retrieve that information as a backup is
generated in the recycle bin. I haven't done any sort of compacting or backup
of Outlook so it's strange that it's just disappeared.

Hi Louise/Rich

The samething with the lost folder just happened to me. Did you ever find it?

I have had Outlook 2007 for 8 months now and no problem until today and one
of the folders just disappeared. Search for a particular e-mail using search
and it did not find it. Also have searched for all folders and still no
luck.

Thanks,

Colleen

Folders don't "just disappear". What were you doing just before it no
longer appeared?

It was a sub folder of the Inbox and it was gone when I started outlook and
is still not there today after turning off the computer overnight. I have
looked everywhere, it did not accidentally get moved to another folder or
draged anywhere else. I have search for specific e-mails that were in that
folder, nothing. I did a search on the computer for *.pst files and no luck.
I did receive this error notification today it follows:
