I tried to download Norton Anti-virus and it would not download. After many
attempts I think I have inadvertently removed some Windows xp files as I am
getting an error report saying my windows xp is no longer up-to-date. Is
there someway I can restore them. I know that sp2 was uninstalled and I have
since tried to reinstall it and don't seem to be able to. I am very new to
all this!!! Can anyone help me?????? Please!!!!!!!!

you can repair windows by using your windows setup disk. Boot from it,
select new install, point to your current installation, say yes to repair
that installation. It will fix any window system files that have become
corrupted.... Be sure to make it easy for windows, by removing all
connections from the back except, mouse, monitor and keyboard..... Later you
can reconnect them when you are in windows again...

Thanks for the info databaseben, but unfortunately I do not have a disk as I
bought my computer with windowsxp already on it. Any other way of doing it
without a disk?
Thanks, Gabby
