I beleive a system restore was applied to our computer, we
can't find our application files that we created over the
past year. Where can it be?

Our hard drive is still at the sames size, so I don't
think it was deleted.

thnx

XP's System Restore is a short term tool. It would be rare to have a valid
system restore point that dates back a year in time. Rarer still for it to
successfully restore the system. However, if on a slim chance, this is what
happened, there should now be an "Undo Restore" option in the System
Restore tool. NOTE: When using XP's system restore, any programs or updates
installed *after* the date of the restore point would normally need to be
reinstalled or reapplied.

"Restore" is also a term that many OEMs use to describe the programs they
supply their customers. Exactly what that program does will vary from one
OEM to another. Most will return the system to the same state as when it
left the factory.

Reinstall the programs to get them back.

If these are irreplaceable files, whether they can be rescued or not
depends on many factors: the method used for the restore, what use the
system has had since the restore and so on. Many programs available for
this. Here's links to a few of them:
