Lost file type when saving attachment to disk and change its name.

In outlook, when I save an attachment to local harddisk, I right-click the
file select "Save as", I can save it successfully. But when saving, if I
change the file name, the file type (or call extension, eg. .doc) will lost,
I must need to input manually (I have enabled "Hide extensions for known file
types" at folder options in the explorer) . Is there any solution for this?

Either disable hiding extensions or get used to typing them.
