Lost File Sharing on Home Network

I have a 3 computer network in my home. The base machine is a Dell 4300
running Windows XP Pro, SP2. The second machine is a Compaq laptop
running XP Home and the third machine is an old Gateway running XP Pro,
SP2. They are connected through a router with the laptop wireless and
the Gateway Cat 5 wired.
The problem is file sharing. I cannot see files on the base Dell
machine from the others; when I try I get an immediate error message
that says "\\username is not accessible. You might not have permission
to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server
to find out if you have access permissions." File sharing works in all
other directions (from the base to each of the others and from the
Gateway to the Compaq and vice versa). Printer sharing works from all
machines. I have no trouble getting to the Internet on any of the
machines. I have enabled Simple File Sharing (SFS) on the base machine.
I have not enabled Windows Firewall and even if I disable Zonealarm, the
problem persists.

It seems like everything is set correctly and I would like to solve this
problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My problem is solved! Both people who responded to my plea were
extremely helpful. I went through all of the steps to configure my
network but I still got System Error 5 with net view. Finally, I
downloaded and istalled the registry fix called fixnet.reg.
Thanks to all. I will keep Carey Holzman's web site in my favorites
from now on.
