Lost downloads

Can anybody help me. I consider myself fairly competent with computers,
however I have recently encountered an annoying proble. When I download a
file it disappears. I take care to know where I have saved it to, then I go
to run it and its not there. Any suggestion?
 
Downloads queue to the Temporary Internet Folder then are
placed in the destination folder. I would suggest you purge out
the TIF cache ( leave Cookies ) and retry the download.
