lost douments! Help needed urgently!

I recently put a new hard drive on my system and made it the bootup
drive. Prior to doing this i used the transfer wizard for my documents
and settings. When I switched over, all my favourites were there but i
cant find my documents anywhere. I've even tried searching (including
hidden documents) and it didnt work. Whenever i try and get into my
old documents settings of the other drive (now a slave) it says the
folder is empty or access is denied. I even tried the booting in safe
mode, going to administrator and changing the security/sharing bits.

I desperately need these documents - can anyone help?

Did you try 'taking ownership' of the old 'documents and settings'
folder on the slave drive? if you re-installed XP on the new drive, the
new 'you' is not authorised to look at the 'old you's stuff.

start, help, take ownership.
