Lost D: partiton data

After a re install of WinXP were the C: drive was re
formated NTFS the data backed up on the D: partion FAT32
was not there. At no time diuring the install was any
action taken by user on the D: partion.The D: drive has
not been wrintten to or touched. Can the data from before
the install be recovered?
 
Most likely it can, by using a 3rd party application such as EasyRecovery
Professional.
