Lost Connection

Not sure if this is an XP, IE, or OE question. I'm
running XP home with an DSL connection. When the PC goes
into sleep mode and I bring it back, the 'data' light on
the modem is out and there no connection to the net. The
only way that I've found to restore the connection is to
shut down, switch off, and reboot. Query to my ISP hasn't
been answered yet.
