LOST CD !

Cd has been in use for yonks but after a few recent
tinkerings is not showing in windows ie. it does not exist
as far as normal use is concerned.

In device manager it is there with yellow mark ie not
properly installed and when removed the same thing occurs
on re-boot - there is problem with finding a 'good' driver.

After an update from the net all was working - until
reboot and then same problem returned.

Where is problem - how to repair please !

What drive are you using? Most drives are fully supported by Windows
XP, but you may want to check the manufacturer's website to see if there
are XP drivers you can download. It sounds like a simple case of a bad
driver.

What were the 'tinkerings'?


And, of course, the CD Drive may be failing.
