lost both drivers

Both of my drivers - cd/dvd rom and cd burner are not working anymore after i re-installed roxio cd creator (that came with my computer) and tried to burn cds, it said there were no available cd burners on the system and then i just uninstalled roxio and tried to use ahead nero and then it said i had no drives at all, i did the uninstall-reinstall thing over and over but it doesnt work, and i tried system restore but it wont restore even back to the beginning of february. The error i am seeing says "windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information in the registry is incomplete or damaged code 19" i cant use my cd drive so i cant re install roxio that way. Please let me know if anyone has any ideas on what i can do. I need the drives for school work.

I have a very similar issue and am at my wits end! In addition to Jessyka's issue (I have done the whole update from Roxio), I now have an "F" drive with 30mb of FAT files, which never existed when my CDRW drive worked! It (F) has taken the drivers from the "E" (CDRW) drive, and I cannot write to disk. I need help ---please
