Lost Address Book

C

Carl Smith

I am running XPHE and just upgraded to Office 2000 to
Office XP (2002). It seems I have no address book. My
contacts made it through okay, but some of my address
book entries got in the contacts list. When I go to
Outlook and click on Address Book, I get my Address Book
window with a message that says, "No entries in this
address boook." Thanks to any help.

There is no address book in Outlook. All data resides in the Contacts
Folder.
Just add the Outlook Address Book Service to the profile and configure it to
show the Contacts Folder.

Do you mean no Address Book in Outlook XP? Why then does
it have an icon for an address book and a window comes up
when you click on it that says, Address Book and it gives
you the option on opening either from Contacts or the
Address Book. I don't want to show the contacts folder as
many have more than one email address. In the address
book I can list the one I want to use. Besides, Outlook
2000 had an address book. I think you are wrong, but
thanks anyway. Carl

The Outlook Address Book displays all the electronic addresses contained in
your Contacts Folder. It is just another view of your Contacts data. There
is no separate address book in Outlook.
