Lost address bar

The address bar in IE 6.0 had gorn! It was there a few days ago, now
it's not. I've checked View > Address Bar, makes no difference. OS is
WinXP Home SP2. I can only get to addresses I've already added to
favourites? Firefox works fine.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you both for the replies. If I right click on a blank section or
use View > Toolbars I see that the Address bar is ticked. I just
looked under Tools but didn't see anything about locking or unlocking
the Address bar, nor is it visible to drag anyway.

Are you in Full Screen mode?

Hit your F11 key to get out of Full Screen mode. The F11 key toggles
between Full Screen mode and a Normal or Maximized window.

[[You can move or resize the Address bar and Links bar by dragging them
up, down, left, or right. You can even move them into the menu bar! ]]

Right click the Toolbar | Select: Address bar | Even with Address bar
selected, your Address bar may be sized to it's smallest. Which makes
it very difficult to see. If any of it is showing, look very
carefully.....

First right click the Toolbar | Unselect: Lock the Toolbars | Move your
cursor around where the Address bar should be until it turns into a
double headed arrow | Left click and drag bigger.

This takes some practice. No way to really describe how to do it.
If/when you see your Address bar again and get it where/how you want
it...

Right click the Toolbar | Lock the Toolbars to prevent losing the
Address bar again.
