Lost access to windows 2000 pro

I in mistakenly changed my settings in windows from a
domain to a workgroup. When I restarted my domain was no
longer displayed in the logon screen and windows no longer
recognizes my user name and password. How can I either
reset my password or get my domain to show on the logon
screen so that I can use my old user name and password.

You need to talk to your network administrator. He/she
will either re-register your machine on the domain, or
give you a local account name & password.

Try making a startup disk from the boot image from this page.

It's actually not a startup disk but a disk that lets you
replace an existing password.
