Lost ability to dual boot

clive skinner

I have always had WinXP ans Vista dual booting but recently after copying a
whole partition to a larger drive i have lost the ability to boot into VISTA
I always had the option to select the OS i wanted but now i can only get XP.

Can somebody direct me on how i can repair the situation properly or re
create a booting option?

PLEASE

Hi Clive--

I'm not sure precisely what you mean when you say "after copying a whole
partition to a larger drive." Exactly what did you copy, and how did you go
about doing this? You copied what was on the partition programs, etc. to an
external HD?

Was this done because you were running out of space on an internal HD and
added the external HD? Was the other HD formatted to NTFS if it was new
and its default was FAT 32? Did you partition the other HD to NTFS? Did
you copy an image to it?

This should help recreate a booting option.

Good luck,
