Lost a User Profile

Just reinstalled XP as it was getting flaky on me. Forgot to backup my
profile (My Documents, e-mail etc) and now I cant copy it to another profile.
Keeps coming up as Access denied, I believe because of the password set on
the old profile. The old profile doesnt come up in Control Panel -> Users ->
Advanced or in the log on screen.

Can anyone help?

In XP Home you have to boot in safe mode to see the security tab. In XP
Pro you have to disable simple file sharing.
