Loss of video display after install of DVR-108

Strange.. Just got a Pioneer DVR108 and installed it as a swap for
CDRW which was master. have an existing DVR-ROM which is slave.
Unit is Gigbyte 8sq800 Mboard, Nvdia Graphics and 512 ram

Did basic old one out new one in and plugged it all in.

On start up the DVR appears recognised but when Windows ( XP) starts
the only the intial start up XP screen is seen then when desktop
would normally start to build the screen goes blank and reports "no
Signal" PC seems to run ok and DVRROM will play audio CD OK but
NO desktop...

HELP :blush:ops:

or your PSU is showing its age

I've seen a similar thing happen with a simple driver upgrade after
sp2...I'm wondering if it wouldn't be a good idea for the OP to press f8
and try to boot into safe mode and check the hardware list from there.
