Loss of mapped drives

I have an HP pavilion PC running WXP Home which has mapped drive to our NT
Server and each time the PC is reset it loses the mapped drive despite the
fact the drive is set to reconnect at logon. The user is an administrator
and we have 20 other PC's that don't do this. The windows and Bios are all
up to date-any suggestions?

Thanks

One thing to check is the licensing on the server. Not enough licenses
for pc's connecting can cause this.

Thanks for the input Mike. The NT server is really an AS/400 with windows
file sharing support. There is no limit to the number of connections. Any
other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

See if this helps:

If changing the lanman parameters on the workstation doesn't do it, then
I'd suggest posting in the server newsgroup where there are sysadmin
experts:

microsoft.public.windows.server.general

Good luck,

Malke
