This is a single laptop on a network of 25 computers. It is the only
computer that is experiencing issues.
Since we really don't know anything about your laptop or physical
details of your connection, here are some troubleshooting
possibilities:
If you are sure the laptop is 100% virus and spyware-free, this could
very well be causing by hardware failure. Often when components heat
up, they will fail. A way to determine that would be to use an ethernet
pc card instead of the laptop's built-in ethernet port (if that is how
you are doing it). If you have no problem connecting with a different
device, then you know the original device is broken. If the built-in
ethernet isn't working, call the laptop's tech support or your IT Dept.
for repair/replacement.
Another thing to look at is what is starting with Windows. Perhaps you
have a program running that interferes with the network connection.
Look in Event Viewer (Start>Run eventvwr.msc [enter]) to see if you can
get any clues.
