loss of data in my calendar

Starting yesterday all my future appointments have disappeared from my
calendar - it is almost entirely blank. A few appointments that I added in
the last 2 days are there, but all the recurring appointments and anything I
added before the last 2 days has completely disappeared! Any suggestions
would be very appreciated!
