Loss of "Connection" icon

Whenever i was connected to the Internet, there was always a small icon on
the right end of the task bar that showed two computers connected. For some
reason, I no longer have that icon appearing on the task bar when I'm
connected.

Any suggestions as to how to get it to reappear?
