loss of back/forward arrows on screen

Today after more than a week with my home xp system upgraded to SP2,
I no longer have back or forward arrows at top of screen.
However manual use of alt left-arrow alt right-arrow still allows
maneuvering back and forth web pages, anyone know how to
get the arrows back on screen?

David, in Internet Explorer, right click on an empty area on the bar where
the arrows used to be. Select Customize.

You should be able to find the Back and Forward options in the left pane,
highlight them and click the add button.

You can adjust where they appear on your toolbar by highlighting them in the
left pane and clicking Move Up or Move Down.
