Loss of address book in switch to new porgram

For years I have been using Outlook 2003. About a month ago a pop up memo
came up on my computer asking if I wanted to update my Outlook e-mail
program. I clicked ok and my Outlook program was changed to Outlook 6. It
seems that my whole address book which I heavily relied on was deleted or
lost in the update. Is there any way to restore my address book and Outlook
2003 program which I was used to and prefer?

Impossible. Office updates never give such prompts. Something you did seems
to have switched your default mail program to Outlook Express. Just switch
it back to Outlook.

Outlook 2003 has NOT "been changed to Outlook 6" (There is no "Outlook 6"
BTW. What you mean is Outlook EXPRESS). All that has happened is that your
default mail application has changed from Outlook to outlook Express. You
need to re-set Outlook as the default email application. In Control Panel
click on Internet Options and go to the Programs Tab. Set it there.
