I updated this afternoon using Windows update on my Vista Ultimate Dell
XPS720. When I got this computer back in Dec. of last year it would lose
about 3 to 5 min. per day. After all the different updates these past few
months I had only lost a little over a min. in the past 3 days. After
rebooting after the updates I set the time with the internet and now about 4
hours later I have lost about 3 min. Looks like I'm back to square one.

Try NTP.

Hi, David.

It is not normal for a computer clock to lose time!

Changing your Internet time server and syncing the time more frequently
might keep you closer to the correct time, but if it were MY computer, I
would be trying to find out why it's losing time.

Since it's a new computer, I'd ask Dell. Quickly, before the warranty
expires!

Losing time is normally indicative of a dying CMOS battery. Replace, and you
should lose time anymore.
