I have a problem with my home networking. I have had my network set up for 2
years with everything working fine. Recently, I have had to re-do the home
network set-up wizard every time I start my computer. I have looked for
infomation regarding the problem but have had no luck in finding a solution.
Any help would be appreciated.

I hate the Network Setup Wizard - it does everything so transparently, folks who
use it never learn about what it's doing. Then when there's a problem, they
have no clue what to fix. Fortunately, the settings it makes are easy enough to
analyse.

Please provide ipconfig information for the computer, before and after you run
the NSW.
Start - Run - "cmd". Type "ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt" into the command
window - Open c:\ipconfig.txt in Notepad, copy and paste into your next post.
Identify operating system (by name and version) with each ipconfig listing.

Also, please describe, with some detail, what doesn't work every time you start
up your computer. Other diagnostics may be appropriate depending upon what's
not working. File sharing? Internet access?

Cheers,
Chuck
Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.

I have had the same experience and although I don't understand the cause of the problem I have stumbled across a solution for my problem.

It is easy enough to try and may help you.

I had been using a workgroup name that was different than the default Microsoft suggests. In desperation I decided to retry the wizard with the default workgroup name. Doing this required that both computers be restarted. After restarting this problem and another that involved not being able to control the shared internet connection have gone away and everything is OK.

I believe that changing the workgroup name (not necessarily to the default) triggers a sequence that resets or clears whatever settings were causing the problems.

Give it a try.
