Losing formatting palette in excel!

I am researching this for a friend because I cannot emulate this on my
machine. She is using a Mac iBook and when she expands her formatting
palette in excel, it animates the opening (genie effect) but moves to
the far right and travels off the screen to open. Can anyone tell me
how to find the palette so we can bring its placement back onto the
screen, where it should be?
