losing fonts in powerpoint presentation

Virginia Hamlett

I work for a church which uses powerpoint slides for all
our worship services. We have two computers: one runs
the beginning announcement slides and the other runs the
rest of the service. The announcement slides are created
by three people on three other machines...with no
difficulty. They often install new fonts on the church
machine for new slides. OUr announcement presentation has
about 30 slides. Every time it is finished, saved and
closed, we lose fonts. When it is opened up again several
of the slides have different fonts; not always the same
slides and not always the same fonts. I have install
service pack 3 because the only reference I could find in
the knowledge base suggested it. But that has not fixed
the problem. I also checked each slide to see if the
fonts were TT and embedded. I do not know what to do next.
Any assistance will be appreciated.

Virginia,
They often install new fonts on the church
machine for new slides.

Sorry, but I've got to ask the obvious......Are the same fonts on all of the computers.

If a particular font is only one one computer, that would explain the current behaviour.

When saving the file, use save as.
Go the tools menu - there is a selection to embed
the fonts within the SHOW.
Problems with this - depending on the number of fonts
used, the file may become HUGE compared to its previous
size.
GOOD LUCK!
