Losing Connectivity when computer sleeps

I have a new Dell Inspiron 1501 notebook operating with windows vista. I'm
connected to the internet wirelessly through an Apple Airport Express. The
connection works flawlessly when I start up the computer. However, whenever
I close the laptop and come back to it, the internet experiences "limited
connectivity". It says it is still connected to the network but the internet
can't be reached.

The only way to regain access to the internet is to restart the computer,
which is annoying with windows vista because it takes so long to shut down
and restart. Is there any way to fix this issue or do I have to restart the
computer every time I want to use the internet?

Does this help?
