loses log in password

Using a DSL, especially after closing but even when left
open, OUTLOOK loses our password and we have to go to the
service provider to get re-connected. We've called SBC
(our provider), and they think the problem is OUTLOOK. Is
there a patch? Is OUTLOOK the problem? Is SBC the problem?

Anyone know?
